2 Dressy Looks for Weird Spring Weather

2 Dressy Looks for Weird Spring Weather

Hey mom!

Hope you had a great holiday weekend!  I spent the last week in Colorado, mostly in the mountains, where it is, surprisingly sunny and warm.

Then I came back to some not-so-surprising Chicago weather.  Cold, dreary.  And I’m supposed to get gussied up for Easter as if in complete denial that people are still walking their dogs in parkas. Not to mention, I’m 7 months pregnant.  My arms and legs are pasty and swollen and I’d rather cover them up while I’m still seeing snow in the forecast.

If, like me, you’re not quite ready to bare all this “spring,” here are two ideas for dressing up that don’t require tights or bare legs but show there’s hope for sunnier times ahead.

Plus, you’ve got the key components in your closet RIGHT NOW!

1.  Jumpsuit + Blazer- Jazz up these basics with some colorful shoes and earrings if you’ve got them!  I’m loving navy + pink + yellow.  (BTW 50 jumpsuits to love via Mother Mag)

2.  Maxi dress + Duster/Trench- Stay warm with some long but light layers.  Add boots for instant badass.

Easy enough?!

How are YOU dressing up in this funky weather, mom?

I’d love to hear what you wore for Easter/Passover/Vernal Equinox!
